CUMBERLAND

Maria Conceicao Sequeira, 93, of Cumberland passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Hope Health in Providence surrounded by her loving family.  She was the loving wife of Raul C. Sequeira and they had been married for the past 69 years.

Born in Figueiro da Serra, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Eduardo Caetano and Barbara de Jesus. She moved to this country in 1977, settling in Cumberland.

Mrs. Sequeira was employed by Hasbro Inc. for many years until her retirement.

Conceicao was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.   She enjoyed cooking, tending to her garden, taking walks,  but most of all loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her two sons, Aurelio Sequeira Caetano and his wife Donna of Attleboro and Cesar Sequeira Caetano and his wife Fernanda of Sao Paulo, Brazil; her two sibings, Manuel Caetano of Portugal and Emilia Pereira of Cumberland; her three grandchildren, Maxmiano, Juliana and Luciana; her great-grandson, Leonardo; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Isaura Saraiva and Jose Caetano.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Conceicao's Life Celebration to be held with visitation on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 9 AM to 11:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 NOON at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
