Maria da Conceicao Lopes DaSilva, 90, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 in the Philip Hulitar, Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Abilio F. DaSilva.

Born in Penalva do Castelo, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim Lopes and Maria deJesus (Martins) Lopes. Maria came to this country in 1980 settling in Pawtucket and moving to Cumberland in 1999.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland

Maria enjoyed sewing, but most of all she loved spending time with her beloved family.

She was a machine operator for the former Health-Tex for many years.

She leaves three sons, Luis N. DaSilva and his wife Olga and Joaquim DaSilva and his wife Margaret all of Cumberland and Dr. Manuel DaSilva and his wife Ann Marie of Narragansett. Her seven grandchildren; Andrew DaSilva, Stephen DaSilva, Amanda DaSilva, Michael DaSilva and his wife Kaitlyn, Victoria DaSilva, Katia DaSilva and Annie DaSilva and one great grand-son Barry DaSilva, along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Isaura Lopes, Amadeu Lopes, Jose Lopes, and Alcida Costa.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Maria's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM and continue on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
