Manuel Fogueiro Raposo, 61, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, in the Miriam Hospital, Providence.

Born in Vila Nova de Seles, Angola, he was the adopted son of Maria Adelaide (Raposo) Menezes of Central Falls and the late Antero R. Menezes.

He came to the United States with his parents in 1980, settling in Cumberland, then moving to Central Falls in 1982.
He was a machine operator at Union Wadding Company in Pawtucket for 25 years, before it's closure in 2004.

He was an honorary member of Clube Juventude Lusitana and a director for Lusitana Sports.
Manuel was a kind, loving person, who made friends everywhere he went. He was always available and willing to help anyone in need.

Beside his adopted mother, he leaves a sister Dalcina M. Craveiro and her husband Henrique of Lincoln, and a brother Olimpio A. Menezes and his wife Maria C. Relhas of Lincoln, along with four nieces and nephews: Joao Pedro, Vanessa, Bruno, and Soraya; his five great grand-nieces and great grand nephews: Dylan, Joao Pedro Jr., Olivia, Alexia, and Isabella whom he loved dearly. He was pre-deceased by his biological parents: Manuel and Maria Fogueiro and his two brothers and two sisters.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Manuel's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 5 PM to 8 PM and continuing on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
