Manuel J. Ferreira, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 in Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the husband of Angela D. (Rufino) Ferreira. They were married for the past 62 years.

Born in Pedralva Anadia Portugal, he was the son of the late Carlos and Maria Pereira (De Jesus) Ferreira . Manuel came to this country in 1970, settling in Pawtucket.

Manuel was an avid Sporting fan and enjoyed watching them play. He loved to spend time in Portugal and would spend his summers there. He enjoyed being outside, working in the garden, and making wine. He loved to make and eat leitao a moda bairrada. Manuel loved to watch his grandchildren dance in the Rancho, but what he truly enjoyed was spending time with his wife.

He was employed by various wire companies Collyer Wire, and American insulated wire until his retirement in 2000. He was a hard working man.

Beside his wife, he leaves his two daughters: Lina M. Santos and her husband Celso of Smithfield with whom he made his residence. His four grandchildren along with their spouses and his one great-grandchild.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Manuel's Life Celebration to begin with visiting hours on Thursday, August 11, 2022, 6 PM to 8 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Burial will be held in Town Cemetery Sao Lourenco do Bairro, Anadia Portugal.
