Manuel D. Azevedo III 88 passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on October 1,2026. He was the loving husband of Edna (Almeida) Azevedo, they had been married for 43 years prior to his passing. Born in Terceira, Azores he was the son of the late Manuel D. and Elisa (Areias) Azevedo.

He came to this country 1973 and made his home in Cumberland. He enjoyed soccer and loved watching and always rooting for his favorite team and a huge fan of Sporting.

He was a member of Club Juventude Lusitana and Our Lady of Fatima Church since he arrived in Cumberland.

Besides his wife Manuel is survived by his loving daughters, Susan Bernardo, Jo-Anne Otte and her husband Ronald, and Linda Azevedo Lussier and her husband John. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren Jacklyn Silva, Kayla Bernardo, Jay D Fitzgerald Jr., Bobby Bernardo, Mackenzie Kulacz, Jordan Otte, Renee Otte, Elizia Holcomb, Sophia Holcomb, and Alexander Lussier as well as his 13 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday October 6, 2026 at 10 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland. His Burial will be private.
