CUMBERLAND

Lorraine S. (Belliveau) Bernier, 75, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket surrounded by her loving family.   She was the wife of the late Ronald Bernier.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Margaret (St. Germain) Belliveau.   She resided in Cumberland for the past ten years, previously residing in Woonsocket.

Mrs. Bernier was employed as a CNA for the Wrentham State School for many years until her retirement.

Lorraine enjoyed time connecting with friends and family on Facebook, watching horror movies but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.    Those who love her will always remember her contagious laugh, and the love she shared with her family.

She leaves her four daughters, Lana Ayotte and her husband Michael of New Hampshire, Lisa Sistare and her husband John of South Carolina,  Lyn Henderson and her fiance Thomas King of Cumberland and Paula Burgess and her husband Kennavy of South Carolina; her fifteen grandchildren, Leah, Matthew, John Jr., Jessica, Joshua, Jennifer, Triston, Brandon, Jacob, Cody, Faith, Trevor, Connor, Jack and Alex; her seven great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Jacob,  Michael, Emersen, Gracie, Hazel, and Scottie.   She was the sister of the late Georgette Belliveau Harris.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Lorraine's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM and continue on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Aidan / St. Patrick Parish, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland, RI 02864.   Burial will be private.
