Linda Suzanne Waisanen, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 22, 2025 in the Mount St. Rita Health Center, Cumberland, Rhode Island. She was in the presence of her loving family and friends during her final days.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Delphus and Beatrice (LaClare) Arsenault. Linda resided in Cumberland for the past 12 years, previously residing in Virginia Beach, VA.
Linda loved her fellow residents at Jenks Woods Apartments and often spoke very highly of her friends she made while living there. She truly enjoyed running the Jenks Cafe twice a week and decorating for every holiday. Christmas was always her favorite holiday. She loved setting up her Christmas village for everyone to enjoy. She was also an avid crocheter, baker, crafter and loved to cook for people.
She was employed as a Box Office Manager for the Norfolk Tides Baseball Club for 38 years until her retirement. She had a passion for baseball and was a Boston Red Sox fan through and through. She was also a huge New England Patriots fan and enjoyed watching her games when she could.
Linda is survived by her two children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; Donna Correa (daughter) and her husband Philip Correa (son-in-love) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Mary Waisanen (daughter) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Justin Towles (grandson) and his wife Amber Towles and son Colton (great-grandson), Kainoa Waisanen-Jaime (grandson), Leilani Parsell (granddaughter) and her husband Carson Parsell and their daughter Milani Parsell (great-granddaughter) and Micah Jaime (grandson). She is also survived by her siblings, Delphis Arsenault, Marie Belrose and Francis Arsenault.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Delphis Arsenault, her step-father Arthur Arsenault, her mother Beatrice (LeClare) Arsenault and her brothers Andrew and Gerald Arsenault.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her honor to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association.
