Lillian T. LaRue, 92, of Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, March 07, 2026, at HopeHealth Hulitar in Providence, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the wife of Edward A. LaRue, and they shared 70 years of marriage.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Amanda (Provencher) Bouthillette.  She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.

Mrs. LaRue was employed by Corning Glassworks and late Cadillac Textiles for many years.

Lillian enjoyed family dinners on Sunday, playing Bingo, cards, and also enjoyed sewing. She had a competitive spirit and an extremely lucky streak.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Donna Fontenault and her husband Raymond of Foster, Terry LaRue and her husband Kevin Benoit of Georgia; her grandchildren Desiree, Natalie, Zachary, and Olivia; her great-grandchildren, Grant, Elias, Shane, Isaiah, Sophia, Dean, Madeleine, Charlotte, Hope and Levi; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her twelve siblings.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Lillian's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A prayer service will be held at 10:30 AM.  Burial will follow at RI Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hope Health, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
