Leo P. Montminy, 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in the RI Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Pauline R. (Moreau) Montminy. They were married for the past 68 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Abraham and Rose Montminy. He resided in Pawtucket and Cumberland for most of his life.

He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, proudly and faithfully serving his country during Korean War.

He was an avid stamp collector in his younger years. Leo did crocheting, needlework and stained glass.

Leo was a production manager for various commercial bakeries for 47 years. He earned his degree in Baking Science in 1963 from the American Institute for Baking in Chicago.

Beside his wife, he is survived by two sons; Arthur L. Montminy and his wife Denise of Douglas, MA.; and Marc L. Montminy and his wife Susan of Cumberland. His two daughters; Jeanne M. Pickett and her husband Robert of Lincoln; and Rochelle M. Ray and her husband Nathan of Cumberland. One brother; Roland Montminy of Syracuse, NY; and one sister; Claire Murtaugh of Portsmouth, RI. His five grandchildren; Lauren; Nicole; Ryan; Heather; and Carolyn; and eight great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Leo's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in the St. John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
