Leo Boutin, 70, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Sunday, April 6, 2024, in the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Susan Angell-Boutin. They have been married for the past 14 years, and together for the past 34 years.
Born in Attleboro, MA., he was the son of the late Norman and Laurette (LaChance) Boutin. Leo resided in Harrisville for the past 8 years, previously residing in Cumberland.
Leo was a dedicated motorcycle enthusiast with a special affection for his wife and his Harley. They loved to just pack up and go on adventures. He had a natural talent for fixing and maintaining machines, always putting care into his work. Leo also enjoyed cooking, creating meals that brought his family together and filled their home with warmth. His family, especially his beloved grandsons, were at the center of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Leo's life was a reflection of his passions and the love he shared with those closest to him. Leo had a love for his Akita's and his companion Bean.
He was a cook, employed by Uncle Ronnie's Restaurant, Mapleville for 4 years, until his retirement. He was previously employed in the family business, formerly Dottie's Catering, Pawtucket for many years. He and his wife also owned and operated the former Cadillac's Restaurant, Cumberland.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Lori and her husband Jamie Sousa of Harrisville. His three grandsons: Mason, Connor, and Cameron. He was the father of the late William Aptt.
Relatives and friends are invited to Leo's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 PM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
