Laurinda F. Alves, 53, of Pawtucket passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Born in Medeira, Portugal, she came to this country in 1976, settling in Pawtucket.

Laurinda enjoyed life, listening to music and she loved to dance.  Those who love her will remember her as a funny and caring person who was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

She leaves her children, Scott Santos and his wife Cherylanne Turgeon Santos of Johnston, Mark Santos of Florida, Peter Santos of Pawtucket, Michelle Alves of Central Falls, Justin Lopez of Worcester, MA and Ryan Brayall of South Carolina; her siblings, Ismael Alves of Pawtucket, Maria D. Nunes of Pawtucket, and Maria J. Nunes of Providence; her grandchildren:  Ava Turgeon, Mason Turgeon, Jayce Santos, Corah Santos, Mark Santos Jr, James Santos, Peter Walsh, Julian Zandy, Arianah Zandy, Simba Santos, Prince Santos, Rain Santos, Dantee Alves, Harmony Costa, Hazel Rodriguez, Louistine Robidou, Annalise Lopez, Jazmarie Lopez.

Relatives and Friends are kindly invited to Laurinda's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 4 PM to 7 PM.   A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 2 PM at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.   Arrangements are under the direction of J. J. Duffy Funeral Home.
