Obituary

Cumberland,

Kristen B. Wright, 57, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in RI Hospital, Providence, after a brief illness.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dolores (Stevens) Wright. Kristen grew up in Cumberland and spent most of her adult life in New York City after attending Fordham University, and then Columbia University for her master's degree.

While living in NYC, Kris worked in after-school programming at T.A.S.C., and was Training Coordinator at ExpandED Schools. Kris also enjoyed working for Disney Theatrical Productions as Merchandise Manager for several Broadway shows.

When Kris moved back to RI in 2011, she joined CCF and was the Site Coordinator at Woonsocket High School. For over 11 years Kris dedicated her life in service to Woonsocket High School students. Kris was well loved and respected by her CCF coworkers, students, parents, and the school community. She was incredibly dedicated to her students, often going above and beyond on their behalf. For CCF and for her students, she was always eager to volunteer and help however she could. She was a kind, caring, and thoughtful advocate for everyone.

Kris enjoyed lifelong friendships from high school and her years in New York. She enjoyed traveling to Disney and other destinations around the country with friends and family. Throughout the years, holidays were her favorite times spent with her family.

Kris is survived by her siblings: Robin Panchuk and her husband John of North Attleboro, Karen Cottle and her husband Jack of Hope Valley, RI., Lori Beauregard and her husband Jim of Cumberland, and David Wright of Cumberland. Her nieces and nephews: Matthew, Brian, and Jessica Panchuk, Bonnie, Jonathan, and Daniel Cottle, and Andrew and Rachel Beauregard, along with two uncles and many cousins.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Kristen's Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Aidan-St. Patrick Parish, 1460 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Wrentham Road Cumberland.
