Pawtucket

Kenneth L. Smith, 82,  passed away on August 21, 2026 after a short illness.

Ken was the son of the late Leo J. Smith and Marie Theresa (L'Heureux) Smith.  He was a lifelong Pawtucket resident attending the Garden Street School and graduating from Pawtucket West High School now Charles E Shea Senior High.

He worked in the trucking industry before working at Standard Nut and Bolt.  He worked  for twenty one years at the Pawtucket Public Library.  He enjoyed a good dinner of prime rib or wild game with friends. He was a fan of roller coasters and was a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts since 1979.

He leaves his cousins,  Karen  Bernardo of Cumberland, Elizabeth Cronk of Coventry, Marilyn Horman of Lincoln, Irene Ray of Cumberland, Pamela Young of Franklin, MA, and Helen Vernaglia of Uxbridge, MA; as well as many close friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Kenneth's Life Celebration to be held with a Prayer Service in the chapel at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 1 PM.
