CUMBERLAND

MITCHELL, Kenneth T., 83, of Cumberland passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Grandview Center, Cumberland. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Diggnan) Mitchell.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Cahalan) Mitchell. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.

Following his graduation from high school, Mr. Mitchell entered the United States Army and served our country honorably and faithfully during peacetime.

Mr. Mitchell was employed as a Burner Repair Technician for the Osram-Sylvania Company in Central Falls for 37 years, retiring in 1996.

Ken was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. He was an avid golfer.
He leaves his son, Kenneth Mitchell Jr. of Lynn, MA; his brother, William Mitchell of Washington; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Mitchell, Raymond Mitchell, and Phyllis Bacon.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Ken's Life Celebration to be held with a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 28, 2022 in the Historic St. Joseph Church , 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI 02864. Burial with military honors will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
