CUMBERLAND

Joyce C. Almeida, 92, of Cumberland passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield.

Born in Newport, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Nary and Lillian (Wilson) Nary.    She resided in Cumberland for most of her life, previously residing in Pawtucket.

Mrs. Almeida was employed as an Inspector for Texas Instruments for 18 years, retiring in 1996.

She was a member of the Cumberland Seniors.   She enjoyed going out to dinner with friends, and traveling on bus tours.

She leaves her children, Christiano Lima and his wife Emily of Cumberland, Patrick Lima and his wife Maria of Cumberland, Christine Donahue of Cumberland; her siblings, Kevin Nary of Foster, Patricia Gallo of Connecticut, Sheila Nary of Pawtucket, and Karen Greco of Arizona; her twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was the mother of the late Sandra Gushyn of Pawtucket.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Joyce's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 9 AM to 11 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A prayer service will be held at 11AM.  Burial will be private.
