Obituary

Joseph W. Amodie, 59, of Pawtucket, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 5, 2024.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late William and Joan (McElroy) Amodie.  He resided in Cumberland for the past 10 years, previously residing in Cranston.

Joe was a talented musician, playing keyboard, piano, and drums in many various bands over the years.  He also was the former pianist for the Word of Life Parish in Cranston.  He had a passion for all animal life.

He leaves his daughter Angela M. Amodie of Pawtucket; his sister, Laura Feley of Cranston,  his brother, Charles Amodie and his wife Sheryl of Pawtucket; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Joseph's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 8 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in St.Teresa Church, Newport Avenue, Pawtucket.  Burial will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 1 State St UNIT 200, Providence, RI 02908.
