Jose G. Ferreira, 72, of Lincoln, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Agostinha Maria (Carvalho) Ferreira, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.
Born in Forninhos, Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio Ferreira and Rosa Guerra Da Fonseca Ferreira.

A man who found great happiness in family and in the simple pleasures of life, Jose especially treasured the time he spent with his grandson.
He enjoyed cooking and baking, fishing, gardening and landscaping, wine making, and traveling back to his beloved homeland of Portugal.
His hands were rarely idle, and whether he was tending a garden, preparing something in the kitchen, helping at church, or simply enjoying time surrounded by those he loved, Jose approached life with generosity and purpose. Those who knew him will remember a hardworking and giving man whose willingness to help others came naturally. His strong work ethic, devotion to his family, volunteerism, and kindness toward everyone he encountered will remain an enduring part of his legacy.
