John J. Kelley Jr., 92, formerly of Cumberland passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the RI Veteran's Home in Bristol. He was the husband of the late Mary A. (Conroy) Kelley.
Born in Canton, MA, he was the son of the late John J. and Mary (Brown) Kelley Sr. He resided in Bristol for the past 9 years, previously residing in Cumberland.
Mr. Kelley entered the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
He was employed as a Machinist for Northrop Corporation for many years. In addition he also worked as an agent in the business office and a member of the board of directors of the Boston Catholic Cemetery Association in Roslindale, MA from 1976 until 2014.
John enjoyed traveling, golf, trips to the casino and enjoyed watching sports on television. Above all, he was an amazing family man and took great pride in the successes of his family.
He leaves his children, John J. Kelley III and his wife Karen of Mansfield, MA, and Janet Clarke of North Smithfield; his grandchildren, Ronald A. Laiweneek Jr., Pamela M. Laiweneek, John J. Kelley IV, and Shawn P. Kelley; and his great-granddaughter, Madelyn Mae Kelley. He was the brother of the late Mary Kelley.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to John's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 NOON in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 12 NOON. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
