John F. "Jack" Jones Jr., 56, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Carol Jones.

Born in Cambridge, MA., he was the son of Dorothy (Darveris) Jones of Sun City, FL., and the late John F. Jones Sr. Jack resided in Attleboro for the past 20 years, previously residing in Lowell, MA.

Jack was a Hockey Coach for the Greater Providence Youth Hockey Association for many years and also worked with the RI Special Hockey League. He played in the Lynch Arena Novice League, playing on Vegas Gold as a goalie. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and season ticket holder for many years. Jack would annually participate at the One Mission Buzz Off for pediatric cancer. He enjoyed the Three Stooges, The Goldbergs, Every Body Loves Raymond, and Seinfeld. He also enjoyed pizza, Dunkin and popcorn. He absolutely hated spinach, broccoli and any green vegetables. He loved his dogs Bella and Taylor.

He was employed as a Food Service Director for Compass Group/Chartwells for the past 22 years. Jack truly enjoyed working with his colleagues.

In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by his brother Derek A. Jones, of Dallas, TX. His nephews, Alex and Christian, who he loved very much and was extremely proud of, his brother-in-law's (brothers) Manny, Robert, and Tony. His sister-in-law's, Mary, and Leslie along with many close friends and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Jack's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 4 PM to 7 PM and continuing on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in the St. Aidan-St. Patrick Parish, 1460 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, 5550 West Executive Drive, Suite #200 Tampa, FL 33609 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 31085.
