Joan M. (Strese) Orokos, 88, passed away at home on Thursday, November 3, 2022. She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Orokos Jr.

Born in Taunton, MA., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Messier) Strese. Joan resided in Cumberland for the past 57 years, previously residing in Central Falls.

She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, completing a good word search and loved visiting Las Vegas, but most of all she cherished her time spent with her family.

She is survived by her four children; JoAnn Costa of Cumberland, Maureen Mederos of Portsmouth, Jayne Costa and her husband Luis of Cumberland, and Steven J. Orokos and his wife Cara of Maricopa, AZ. Her ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maureen Mitchell and mother-in-law of the late Gerald Mederos.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
