Jeanne Marie
Prestin
Jun 4, 1962 — Jun 21, 2026
Cumberland
Jeanne Marie Prestin was born on June 4, 1962, in New Ulm, Minnesota, the youngest daughter, and the second youngest of seven born to Dwayne F. Prestin and Marcelene A. Prestin (Rolfes). As part of a military family, Jeanne moved with her family to San Diego, California, at a young age as her father proudly served in the United States Navy. San Diego became home, and she spent the majority of her life surrounded by the sunshine, ocean, and memories she loved so much.
Jeanne lived a life full of strength, independence, and heart. As a single mother, she raised her only son, Jordan D. Musser, with endless love, compassion, and the belief that being a good human mattered most. She encouraged him to chase his dreams, love deeply, and — almost as much as she did — appreciate the world of sports.
Jeanne's entrepreneurial spirit led her to become a successful business owner, including owning Aloha Batteries and insurance sales before beginning her next chapter in Rhode Island. There, she found what she often considered her favorite job of all: being GRANDMA to her four grandchildren, Lainee, McKenna, Raegan, and Harrison Musser. Caring for them brought her immense joy, and her love, laughter, and presence will remain a part of them forever.
A true sports fan, Jeanne proudly cheered for the Minnesota Vikings, San Diego Chargers, San Diego Padres, and Minnesota Twins. She found happiness in the things she loved most: searching through thrift stores for treasures, the excitement of a casino, a great dark beer, and anything that reminded her of the ocean she loved so much.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dwayne and Marcelene Prestin, and her brother and best friend, Douglas Prestin.
She is survived by her son, Jordan D. Musser, and daughter-in-law, Nicole E. Musser; her beloved grandchildren, Lainee, McKenna, Raegan, and Harrison Musser; her siblings, Nancy Cramer of AZ, Chris Cramer of HI, Cindy Prestin of AZ, Daniel Prestin of AZ, and David Prestin of MN. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she adored, along with countless friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly.
Jeanne's spirit will live on in the waves crashing along the shore, the thrill of a 70% off Marc Jacobs find, the sound of a slot machine, the cheers of a Vikings touchdown, and the laughter of her son and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Jeanne's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 1 PM.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, humor, and a life lived fully and unapologetically in her own unforgettable way.
