CUMBERLAND

Jeanne Galarneau, 51, of Cumberland Rhode Island unexpectedly passed away November 15, 2023. She was the daughter of Constance and Omer Galarneau, and she leaves her daughter Nicole Kachuk; her brother Raymond Galarneau and his wife Kimberly Medeiros; the father of her daughter Richard Kachuk, her brother Glen Galarneau; nephews, nieces, cousins, and all of those whom she touched throughout her lifetime.

Although she lived most of her life in Cumberland, Jeanne traveled to Colorado, South Dakota, California, and many other places throughout her time.

Jeanne's two biggest passions in life were her love for animals, and her love for her daughter. Jeanne and Nicole had a mother-daughter bond "like no other" and Jeanne's unconditional love and sacrifices fueled that. She loved all animals and she felt compassion for them as an animal control employee, employee at Tufts University in their veterinary department, and most recently a dog groomer at Cozy Quarters Pet Inn in Lincoln RI for the past 10 years. In addition to her loved ones, she also leaves her horse Thunder of 20 years. Jeanne considered Thunder as one of her own children and she did not miss a day where she would not see him and take care of him.

Jeanne was known for her dedication, incredible work ethic, reliability and trustworthiness, and empathy and compassion. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and we will miss her every second of every day.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Jeanne's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 4 PM to 7 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Rhode Island SPCA, 155 Plan Way Warwick, RI 02886.
