Jeanne Louise
Fitzgerald
Nov 20, 1945 — May 8, 2026
Pawtucket
PAWTUCKET
Jeanne L. Fitzgerald, 80, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Crystal Lake Nursing Home, Burrillville. She was the wife of the late Paul W. Fitzgerald.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late George and Roseanna (Leclair) Brousseau. She resided in Burrillville briefly, previously residing in Pawtucket and Cumberland for most of her life.
More than anything, she was devoted to her family. Her late husband, Paul, and her daughters Kelley & Jeanne Marie were always foremost in her mind.
Before meeting and marrying Paul, she was planning to enter the Convent. A decision that all of her progeny is grateful she reversed.
Jeanne loved with a big heart. She was the heart of her neighborhood, befriending everyone, including all the public service workers, mail carriers, and especially her neighbors. She knew everyone of them by name, and had a relationship with each of them.
She loved her family and friends above all. Even in her final days, that's where her concern was. Always caring for others.
Jeanne enjoyed listening to Elvis, needle point and collecting Coca-Cola everything. Those who love her remember her sense of humor and love for her family and cats.
In addition, she leaves her two daughters Kelley Sullivan and her husband Timothy Sullivan of Harrisville and Jeanne Marie Fitzgerald, her sisters Cecile Brillon and Pauline Nunes; her grandchild Haley Marie Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Walter, Jean, Paul and Henri Brousseau and Claire Sousa.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Jeanne's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 2 to 4 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary.
