CUMBERLAND

Janice (Dukeshire) Moreau, 84, of Cumberland passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Hope Health in Providence, RI.   She was the beloved mother of Frank Moreau and his wife Fatima of Somerset, MA, Chuck Moreau of Lincoln, Linda Pletch and her life partner Brenda of Gilford, NH, Theresa Hebert and her husband David of Riverside, Susan Varela and her husband David of Boynton Beach, FL,  and Sandie Conley and her husband Chris of Mansfield, MA.

Born in Somerville, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Dunn) Dukeshire.  She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.

Mrs. Moreau was employed as a Medical Transcriptionist for RI Foot Care, retiring in 2011.  She was previously employed as a Quality Control Inspector for HealthTex for 10 years.

Janice was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She found great joy in Wii Bowling and Bingo and had a passion for knitting creating lasting memories and treasured keepsakes for her loved ones.

In addition to her loving children, she leaves her thirteen grandchildren, Kayla, Alyson, Ian, Lindsay, Nicholas, Jocelyn, Aidan, Hunter, David, Dominick, Gianna, Ashlyn, and Alanna and nine great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Noah, Henry, Olivia, Sarah, Laura, Zahara, Kiya, and Joel.  She was the sister of Joan Kowalski; and the late Joseph Dukeshire.

Janice's Life Celebration will be held privately for close friends and family on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 4-7PM  in the J. J. Duffy  Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hope Health, Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
