Obituary

Jane F. (Sherlock) Watson, 86, of Woonsocket passed away April 11, 2025 at Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor, FL, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Providence to the late Peter and Frances (Mackie) Sherlock, Jane was raised in Providence, later residing in Cumberland for much of her adult life before moving to Woonsocket.

Jane dedicated her life to the loving care of her family. In later years, she attended CCRI and became a medical assistant, later retiring from CVS Corporate. Her greatest joys came from spending time with the love of her life Del, her family and her friends. She loved to host holiday gatherings, entertaining with clam bakes, pool parties and her much anticipated annual Christmas Eve party. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, music, gardening, trivia, card games, tennis, and especially golf. She was very proud of her two holes in one at Chemawa Golf Course in South Attleboro, her strength when challenging anyone to an arm-wrestling match, her vast trivial knowledge, but most of all, she was proud of raising her four daughters who followed in her footsteps raising families of their own giving her nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Jane lit up a room with her smile and laughter. She overcame life's obstacles with determination and perseverance, living her life to the fullest despite many challenges. She was silently courageous, inspirational in spirit, loving, full of humor and a social butterfly with a joy for life. She will be deeply missed by all.

Jane is survived by her beloved life partner, Adelard Aubin, of Woonsocket, her four daughters, Linda Amaral (Dr. Joseph Amaral) of Cumberland, RI and Oldsmar, FL, Pamela DiQuattro (David Graham) of Cumberland, Jennifer Watson (Christopher Matarese Sr ) of North Providence and Suzanne Knowles of Cumberland; her grandchildren, Courtney, Ashley and Gregory Amaral, Mikayla DiQuattro Cabral, Melissa DiQuattro, Andrea and Christopher Matarese Jr, Brooke and Quinn Knowles; and great-granddaughter, Madilyn Cabral; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helen Reynolds, and the late Gloria Felber.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Jane's Life Celebration to be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the J. J.
