Jackie's greatest joy was her family, particularly her beloved nieces and nephews.

Jacqueline “Jackie” G. Pashnik, 64, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at HopeHealth in Providence, following a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Elaine (Krupka) Pashnik of Cumberland and the late Peter Pashnik. Jackie was a lifelong resident of Cumberland, where she was surrounded by family, friends, and a community that meant so much to her.

Jackie was a graduate of Cumberland High School, Class of 1980. She continued her education at the University of Rhode Island, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

She enjoyed a long and dedicated career in public service with the United States Department of Agriculture, including many years with the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Throughout her career, Jackie worked extensively with conservation programs, administration, and grants management. Her professionalism and dedication earned her the respect of her colleagues, many of whom became dear friends.

Jackie embraced life and enjoyed every opportunity to make a memory.

Jackie also had a special passion for her work as a hostess at Aldrich Mansion. She truly enjoyed welcoming guests and being part of the many celebrations and special occasions held there. Throughout both her professional and personal life, Jackie formed lasting friendships and created countless cherished memories.

Above all else, Jackie's greatest joy was her family, particularly her beloved nieces and nephews. She treasured the time they spent together and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.

Jackie embraced life and enjoyed every opportunity to make a memory. She loved trips to Disney, vacations in New Hampshire, Cape Cod, and Newport, camping adventures, visits to the casino, and attending more concerts than could possibly be counted. Her daily trips to Starbucks were a favorite ritual, as were dinners at Jacky's Galaxie in Cumberland. Whether it was a special vacation, a concert, a family gathering, or simply an everyday outing, Jackie had a way of making the time spent together memorable. Those who love her will always remember her sarcastic wit and humor.

In addition to her mother, Elaine, Jackie leaves her sister, Jill Soares and her husband, Peter; her brother, Christopher Pashnik; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Pashnik, all of Cumberland. She was the loving aunt of Kyle Pashnik and his wife Stella, Corey Parker, Indiana Soares, Ryan Pashnik, Holly Pashnik, and Jessica Dooley, and the cherished great-aunt of Penny and Riley.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Jackie's Life Celebration with visitation on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
