PAWTUCKET

Ismael D. Alves, 65, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at HopeHealth in Providence.

Born in Madeira, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Natalia (DeJesus) Alves. He came to the United States and made Pawtucket his home, where he resided for most of his life.

Ismael worked in the construction industry for many years. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, cookouts, and playing billiards. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and especially enjoyed simply being surrounded by those he loved.

He leaves his sisters, Maria D. Nunes of Woonsocket and Maria J. Nunes of Pawtucket, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Ismael's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
