CUMBERLAND

Isabel N. (Nunes) Fonseca, 64, of Cumberland,  passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Waterview Villa, East Providence.

Born in Moçambique, Africa, she was the daughter of Alice (Figueiredo) Nunes of Cumberland and the late Gabriel Nunes.  She came to this country in 1981, settling in Cumberland.

Isabel was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.  She enjoyed cooking and knitting but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother, she leaves her children, Lillian DeJesus and her husband Antonio of Rehoboth and Michael Fonseca and his wife Briana of Cumberland; her sister, Carla, her husband Rui, and her niece Melanie DaSilva, all of Cumberland; her grandchildren, Soraia, Luana, Luca, as well as a grandson on the way.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Isabel's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 NOON in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland.   Burial will be held at St. John Cemetery, Hewes Street, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association of RI, 245 Waterman St #306, Providence, RI 02906.
