Obituary

Holly A. Pfeiffer, 62, passed away on Monday December 16, 2024 in Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, Emergency Room with her dear son and loved ones by her side.

Born in Providence, Holly resided in Cumberland for many years.

Holly is survived by her beloved son, Josh Pfeiffer, her parents, Joanie Pfeiffer-Moser and her husband John, her brother Peter W. Pfeiffer III of Arizona, her sister Jody Pfeiffer of Warwick, stepbrothers Steven H. Proctor (Natalie) of Centennial, CO., Richard A. Proctor (Anna) of Cumberland, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Holly loved her country and was a US Air Force veteran. She grew up in Pawtucket, East Providence, Rumford and Cumberland. She attended Cumberland High School from September 1976 to May 1980, and graduated from Medical Service Specialist School, US Air Force in 1981 and Davis North High School in Ogden, UT in 1982. She attended Westminister College, Salt Lake City, UT and was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in 1983. She graduated from Administration Specialist School, US Air Force in September of 1985. She earned the US Air Force Achievement Medal and was commissioned in 1992.

Holly attended Community College of RI and graduated from the Registered Nurse Program in 1989. As a registered nurse she worked at Women and Infants Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for four years, a job she loved. Holly was a member of the RI Air National Guard from March 1985 until February 1992.

Holly loved playing golf while she was able and was an excellent stained-glass talent. She enjoyed playing softball and reading.

Holly was a kind, intelligent person and will be missed by all who loved her.

Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland, followed by a committal prayers at 12 PM in the RI Veterans Cemetery, South County Trail, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
