CUMBERLAND

Hilda (Lopes) Silverio, 97, of Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Hope Health in Providence.  She was the wife of the late Casimiro M. Silverio.

Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Joao M. and Clementina (Albuquerque) Lopes.  She was a life-long resident of Cumberland.

Mrs. Silverio was employed as a factory worker for Hasbro Inc. and International Packaging Inc. for many years, retiring in 1988.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.  Hilda enjoyed knitting and crocheting, arts and crafts, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

She leaves her son, Casimiro "Casey" Silverio and his wife Adelina of Attleboro; her two grandchildren, Melissa L. Rowse and her husband Shane of Attleboro and Amy L. Silverio and her husband Alexander of Chicago, IL; her great-grandchildren, Landon N. Rowse, Everett J. Rowse, Jackson L. Ing and Isabella G. Ing; her sister, Henrietta Carvalho; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary I. Amaral and Grace Afonso.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Hilda's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 5 to 8 PM and continue on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.   A Mass of Christian Burial  at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland.  Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
