Herculano Alberto Cabral, 69, passed away on April 29th surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 26, 1954 to the late Joaquim do Coutu Cabral and Albertina de Fonseca Oliveira Cabral in Matança, Fornos do Algodres, Portugal. He later immigrated to the United States where he ultimately settled in Pawtucket, R.I.

Alberto is survived by his loving wife, Maria de Lurdes Cabral; his children Carlos A. Cabral, Steven H. Cabral, Jessica M. Cabral and his grandchildren. He was the loving brother of Piedade Rodrigues, Rosária Simao, Messiano Cabral, Agostinho Cabral, Maria Castro, Luís Cabral, Fernando Cabral, Pedro Cabral, Paula Cabral, John Cabral; and the late Esperança Atherton and Maria Augusta Abadier. His memory will forever be cherished by his many nieces and nephews.

Alberto was a devoted father and grandfather who enjoyed wine making, card playing, watching Benfica, gardening, and fishing with his family. He was a member of the Irmandade do Divino Espírito Santo de Igreja Sagrada Coração de Jesus; Clube Social Português De Pawtucket and União Portuguesa Beneficente, Inc.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Alberto's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 5 to 8 PM and continue on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10 AM in  the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM  at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland.  Burial will take place at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
