CUMBERLAND

Harriet J. Greenfelder, 93, of Cumberland passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer.  She was the wife of the late William Patrick Greenfelder.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Lillian (Diamond) Miller.  She resided in Cumberland for the past 62 years.

Mrs. Greenfelder was employed as a Cost Clerk  for Carol Cable Company, retiring in 1992.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and often donating hats to newborn babies at the hospital.  She loved reading and sharing her books with her granddaughter.  She most enjoyed making spaghetti and meatballs for her family.

She leaves her two children, William M. Greenfelder of Harrisville and Ellen Grayko of Corinth, NY;  her two grandsons, Gregory Frankian and his wife Casey of Glens Falls, NY and Joseph Greenfelder of Harrisville; her granddaughter, Amie Vanderminden of Queensbury, NY; her four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jayla and Gabriella Frankian, and William Vanderminden; her niece, Barbara Puccia and her husband Mark of Florida; her two great nieces, Natalie and Sara.  She also leaves her lifetime friend Helen Martin.   She was the mother of the late Mark J. Greenfelder.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Harriet's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 12 NOON in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A graveside service will be held at 2 PM at RI Veteran Cemetery in Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
