Gerald N. Porricelli, 79, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at home. He was the husband of Diane (Ribaudo) Porricelli. They have been married for the past 57 years.
Born in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Angelo and Diana (Albero) Porricelli. Gerry resided in Lincoln for the past 46 years, previously residing in Connecticut and New York.
Gerry was an avid runner and biker, running in multiple marathons over the years, including New York City, Boston, Ocean State, and London. He was a member of multiple running clubs where he shared his passion and love of the sport with fellow runners. Most recently Gerry was a member of the 65 Running Club where he placed first in his age bracket in multiple races. In addition to his immediate family, Gerry's running family filled his life with joy. Their shared enthusiasm for the sport kept him socially engaged and physically motivated.
He was employed as a Financial Controller at Metalor Inc., of North Attleboro, MA., for 15 years, retiring in 1996. Previously he was employed at Engelhard Inc., of Plainville, MA., and General Electric for many years.
Besides his wife he is survived by his two children; Lisa Peters and her husband Blake of Franklin, MA., and Steven Porricelli of East Greenwich. His brother Donald Porricelli and his wife Winnie, and a sister Ann Marie Verrico all of Arizona. His five grandchildren; Morgan, Jacob, Alex, Katie, and Benjamin. His sister-in-law, Donna Porricelli of Maryland, along with several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late, Joseph Porricelli and brother-in-law of the late Michael Verrico.
Relatives and friend are kindly invited to Gerry's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 4 PM to 7 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Cardinal Hayes High School or Iona University.
