LATIMER III, George E., 70 of Chepachet, RI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of Nancy R. (Palin) Latimer.
Born in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late George E. and Agnella (Palin) Latimer. He resided in Cumberland during his youth, and later lived in Riverside, and, most recently, Chepachet.
Mr. Latimer was a passionate salesman who worked in many industries including printing, advertising, real estate and most recently telecommunications. He was the the former owner of GELCO and Lime Rock International.
George enjoyed golfing, traveling, and being by the water, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Those who love him will always remember his ability to talk to anyone about any absolutely topic and his gift of humor.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his son, Brad L. Latimer and his wife Maureen McCormick of Chepachet; his daughter, Kelsey Latimer Kern and her husband Ryan Kern of Florida, and his daughter, Jessica Latimer and her fiancé Mark Sussmann of North Smithfield; his brother Bruce Latimer and his wife Susan of Chepachet; as well as several beloved relatives.
All relatives and friends are kindly invited to George's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in the Historic St. Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery, 261 West Wrentham Rd, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd #3004, Warwick, RI or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 2346 Post Rd #202, Warwick, RI.
