George W. Gardner Jr., 79, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda (Sabatini) Gardner.

Born in Pawtucket, George was the cherished son of the late George W. and Mary (Donnelly) Gardner Sr.

Throughout his working years, George dedicated his time as a foreman at Stackbin Corporation in Lincoln until his retirement.

In his leisure, he found joy in observing and nourishing birds, while also being a passionate supporter of the Red Sox and Patriots.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Karen M. Gardner and her wife Mary Rose of Unionville, CT; George W. Gardner III of Pawtucket; and Sharon Gardner of Winterpark, FL. Additionally, he leaves behind his adored grandchildren: Alexandra, Samantha, George, Kaitlyn, and Elise, along with several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late, Ann M. Burt of Pawtucket, Alice Heath of Attleboro, and Edward Gardner of Pawtucket,

George's services will be held privately, to the convenience of the family, with arrangements entrusted to the care of the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, located at 757 Mendon Road in Cumberland.
