Frank Antunes Jr., 63, of Pawtucket, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Frank and Janet (Reilly) Antunes Sr. He was a life-long resident of Pawtucket.
Mr. Antunes was employed by the City of Pawtucket for 25 years, retiring in 2021. During his career he was beloved by many students and faculty at Shea High School.
Frank was a dedicated and over-passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He also enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and drinking an ice cold Budweiser. He loved having a clam boil and cooking steamers and littleneck zuppa. He was a member of the Filibuster Club in Cumberland for over 40 years. Those who love him will remember his affection for the Three Stooges, his humor, the ability to share a good joke, as well as his contagious laughter.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his son, Nicholas R. Antunes and his partner Olivia Cuccaro of Pawtucket, his daughter Sarah E. Antunes of Denver, CO; his siblings, Sharon Wilson of Lake Worth, Florida; his aunt Rosemary Durfee of Conroe, Texas. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, John Antunes and his wife Cheri of Greenville, RI, Michael Antunes and his wife Lindsay of Attleboro, MA, Alicia Bourgette and her husband Scott of North Attleboro, MA, Eric Wilson and his wife Heather of Boynton Beach, FL, as well as his great-nephews, Noah, Mason, Owen, Jake and Jackson; and his great-nieces, Abigail and Charlotte. He was the brother of the late Thomas Antunes and Sandra Conti.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Frank's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St #306, Providence, RI 02906.
