Francesca Gallegos, 83, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, in the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late John and Rachel (Ferreira) Alves. Francesca resided in Pawtucket for the past 20 years, previously residing in Cumberland.

She is survived by her two sons: Anthony J. Desmarais of Harrisville, and Brian Desmarais of Cumberland. Her two brothers: Daniel Alves of Cumberland and John Alves III of Pawtucket. She was the mother of the late Craig Alves Desmarais.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
