Fernando De
Morais Guerra
Aug 27, 1943 — Nov 8, 2025
Cumberland
Fernando "Fred" Humberto De Morais Guerra, 82, of Cumberland, RI, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 in his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was the devoted husband of Maria (Macedo) Guerra for 58 years.
Fernando was born on the island of Faial, Azores, Portugal, on August 27th, 1943 to parents José Correia Guerra and Maria Correia DeMorais Guerra. He moved to the US in 1960 at the age of 17. He began a lifelong career at Hasbro, Inc. working as a stock boy, where he would
meet his wife, Maria, and spend the next several decades rising through the ranks of Hasbro to become a Director of Global Operations. His colleagues praised him for his guidance and support, as well as his sense of humor.
After retiring Fernando spent his time tending to his gardens and celebrating life's moments and milestones with his family, of whom he was very proud. He was never one to miss a holiday, birthday, or athletic event where he could celebrate and cheer on his loved ones. He believed
that family wasn't just first, family was everything.
