PAWTUCKET

Fernando A. Lopes, 75, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Maria do Ceu (Fino) Lopes, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Fernando was the son of the late Joaquim and Lucilia (Alves) Lopes. In January of 2000, he immigrated to the United States, where he made his home in Pawtucket.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Fernando was employed with Wonderwall Construction Company for nearly two decades, earning the respect of his colleagues and the admiration of all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria; his sons, Antonio J. Lopes of Pawtucket and Fernando A. Lopes of Portugal; and his cherished granddaughters, Tatiana Lopes and Francisca Lopes, both of Portugal.

Funeral services will be held in Portugal at the convenience of the family.
