CUMBERLAND

Fernanda Figueiredo, 83, of Cumberland, passed away on August 12, 2024, at the Grandview Center, Cumberland.  She was the wife of the late Carlos Figueiredo Sr.

Born in Viseu, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Alberto and Rita (Ferreira) Lopes.  She moved to this country in 1979, settling in Central Falls and later moving to Cumberland.

Mrs. Figueiredo was employed as a Mill Worker for the former Hindley Mill for many years until her retirement.

She enjoyed spending time with family, especially at family gatherings, as well as a nice dinner out on the town with a glass of wine.  Those who love her will always remember her voice echoing as she sang Portuguese songs.

She leaves her children, Jose Lopes of Cumberland, Manuel Lopes of Cumberland, Carlos Figueiredo Jr., of Cumberland, Richard Figueiredo of Cumberland, Paula Addison of Coventry and Carla Costa of Pawtucket; her nine grandchildren, Anthony, Tanya, Paul, Alyson, Brandon, Brianna, Alexa, Emma, and Adalyn; three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Mason and Selena; and many siblings in Portugal. She was the mother of the late Elisa Lopes.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Fernanda's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland.  Burial will be private.
