CUMBERLAND

DUPUIS, Ernest J., 96, of Cumberland passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Rhode Island Veteran's Home in Bristol. He was the husband of the late Louise (McKenna) Dupuis.

Born in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Christina (Cawley) Dubois. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.

Mr. Dupuis was a United States Navy, WWII and Korea veteran, serving our country honorably and faithfully.

Ernest was a Sales Representative for the Owens-Corning Fiberglass company for many years until his retirement. He was a fixture at Honey Dew Donuts in Cumberland where he would be sharing stories with many others every day.

Ernie as he was affectionately known, enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer.

He leaves his siblings, Josephine McCawley and Frank Dupuis; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Lillie Pierson and Kelly O'Connell. He was the brother of the late Mary Dupuis, Bernice Motta, Christina Brindle and Ann Durandette.

His funeral will be private.
