Enfys (Payne) Williams, 78, of Cumberland passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of David W.M. Williams and they had been married for the past 56 years.

Born in Aberdare, Wales, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Reston) Payne.  She resided in Cumberland for 44 years, previously residing in Meliden, Wales.

Enfys was employed as a veterinary technician for the Cumberland Animal Hospital, for 30 years, until her retirement.

She was a devoted animal lover who found great joy in the companionship of her pets. Enfys treasured weekly family dinners and any occasion that brought her loved ones together. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren's many sporting events, where she was always their biggest fan.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Beth Free and her husband Casey of Cumberland, Frances Stenovitch and her husband Timothy of Cumberland, and Edward Williams and his wife Rebecca of Cumberland; her seven grandchildren;  Benjamin, Abigail, Hannah, Lucas, Aiden, Stella and Sam, as well as her niece Liz Nelson-Beer and her wife Beatrice and her nephew Richard Nelson. She was the sister of the late Gaynor Nelson.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Enfys's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland, RI 02864.
