CUMBERLAND

Elizabeth A.  (Poniatowski) Emond, 71, formerly of Cumberland and Rehoboth, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Albert W. Emond and they had been married for over 50 years.

Born in Rehoboth, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Jean (Oleski) Poniatowski.

Mrs. Emond was employed by the Cumberland School Department, Fogarty School, Northern Rhode Island Collaborative , and CITE.

She enjoyed trips to the beach, and enjoyed being outdoors.  In her later years she dedicated her time to caring for her husband.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her two sons, Jason Emond of North Providence and Aaron Emond and partner Ashley Demers of Burrilviile; her grandson, Aaron Jean Emond; her sister, Janice Hitchen of Central Falls; as well as several nieces and nephews.   She was the sister of the late Marion McGoran and Stanley Poniatowski.

Her funeral and burial will be private.
