Elaine N. Thomas, 78, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Charles County, Maryland, Elaine was the daughter of the late Richard Thomas and Esther Willett. She resided for 18 years in Rhode Island, 30 years in Slidell, Louisiana, and 30 years in Maryland. Ms. Thomas was an administrative assistant for the Naval Research Laboratory for 40 years until her retirement.

Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and watching her favorite television shows, especially Days of Our Lives. Those who love her will remember "Nana" as quiet, witty, determined, and kind.

Elaine leaves behind her loving daughter, Angela Leone, beloved grandson, JP Leone, son-in-law, Ken Wagner, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and sister, Sandy Graham, of Naples, Florida.
