Edward C. Parent, 53 of Cranston, passed away at home, Friday, April 22nd, 2022. Edward was born on April 25th, 1968 in Pawtucket. Son of Gloria M. Parent (Lembo) and the late Alfred P. Parent.

Ed is survived by his siblings Joseph P. Parent (Marilyn) of South Kingstown and Gloria A. Parent of Lincoln. Many considered him to be a father figure to his nieces, Ariana V. Trainor (Parent) of Jupiter, FL and Kelsey N. Bertoncini (Parent) of Cumberland. He is also survived by several other loving nieces and nephews.

One of seven children, he was predeceased by his brother Alfred M. Parent, and sisters Victoria  A. Parent, Cynthia A. Sullivan (Parent), and step sister Angelina Sylvestre. He was known throughout Rhode Island as the owner of EAP Consulting, and Blackstone Valley Claims Service, which he took over for his father, and worked as an automobile appraiser for over thirty years. A loving son, he spent over a decade working side by side with his father and graciously cared for his mother, Gloria, for the majority of his life.

Ed had a robust passion for buying and restoring cars, golfing in Florida where he vacationed for many years, and above all else spending time with his loving family. A steadfast foodie, Ed enjoyed cooking and sampling a variety of foods and dishes. He had an irrefutable generosity and always took great pride in ensuring that all around him were supported and cared for.

All who knew Ed, know that his infectious laugh could light up a room. You could always count on his humorous animation to provide an undeniable smile. His selfless presence will be forever and deeply missed, his love and dedication will never be overlooked and his camaraderie shall remain irreplaceable.

Please join us for calling hours, Friday, April 29th, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland. A private burial will be held the following day, Saturday, April 30th, 2022 for immediate family.
