Dorothy (Tague) Crowell, 95, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, in the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years Larry Crowell.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Catherine Tague. She resided most of her life in Pawtucket.
Dorothy worked at Pawtucket City Hall as a clerk in the Tax Collections office until her retirement in 1996.

She is survived by her children: Donna Berard and her late husband, Donald of Cumberland, Daniel and his wife, Trina Crowell of Rumford, Robert and his wife, Debra Crowell of Pawtucket and the late Nancy Guimond and her husband Paul of Florida. She was adored by her eight grandchildren, Michael Gorman, Lori Brewster, Kellie Gorman, Amy Coppola, Scott Crowell, Brett Crowell, Rebekah Vieira, and Jacob Crowell. She will be remembered dearly by eight great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

She always looked forward to "being on the road again" for the trips she and her doting husband would take to Florida. Her other favorite pastimes including playing BINGO and slot machines. She enjoyed "investing" well into her 80's, although she'd never actually tell you how much she had "invested".  She was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and would listen to stories of her great grandchildren and remember every detail. She also loved her time with her sisters which was affectionally referred to as Sister's Night.
Dorothy loved to tell a joke and always made you smile. She will be fondly remembered as being the life of the party. She never said "no" to a "tich" more wine or the request to turn a dinner napkin into a headpiece and dance to the song Walk Like an Egyptian.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Dorothy's Life Celebration to begin with visiting hours on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 9 AM to 11 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Prayer Service will be held at 11 AM. Burial will be private at a later date.
