David E. Kalafarski, 70, passed away peacefully in his home in Cumberland on March 25, 2026.

Dave grew up in Pawtucket with siblings, Edward and Paula; the children of Eugene and Rita (Niezgoda) Kalafarski.  In 1973, as a freshman at URI, he would meet his future wife and love of his life, Linda (Furtado), and the two would be a near perfect fit for 50+ years. He received his Master's Degree also from URI, which began his long and successful career in business.

Married in 1980, Dave and Lin moved to Cumberland, where they would raise two children, Laura and Andrew, and were later blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, who were and will forever be the center of his universe. Dave's life was defined by his commitment to his family, his friends, and the game of golf (love / hate relationship). He was also one of the kindest, funniest, and most generous people you could ever hope to meet. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours on Monday, March 30, 4:00–7:00 PM,  continuing with a prayer service on Tuesday, March 31, at 10:30 AM at JJ Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road in Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) in memory of his beloved wife, Lin.
