David J. Duffy, 87, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the Greenville Skilled Nursing Center, Greenville.

Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Francis and Margaret (Hanaway) Duffy. He resided in Attleboro for the past 40 years, previously residing in North Attleboro.

An avid golfer, skier, and sailboater, he embraced the thrill of both land and sea, finding peace and adventure in every season. He had a refined appreciation for wine, savoring its nuances and the stories it carried. Above all, he treasured his family, cherishing the moments shared and the bonds that enriched his life. His legacy is one of vitality, warmth, and an enduring love for the people and pursuits that brought meaning to his days.

He was employed by Verizon for 30 years until his retirement. He was also employed by Brown University for more than 10 years, and also worked for Highland Country Club and Wentworth Hills Country Club in his retirement.

He is survived by his daughters: Debbie Sargo of Dallas, Tx., and Donna Duffy-Hartman and her husband Brian of Greenville. His sister Mary "Buffy" Mulligan of Cumberland and his brother Terry Duffy of Providence. His two grandchildren: Matthew Sargo of North Attleboro and Megan Devlin of Boston. He also is survived by his companion Juanita Hart of North Attleboro.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Dave's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM and continuing on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in St. Aidan-St. Patrick Parish, 1464 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Attleboro Elks Club, 887 South Main Street, Attleboro, MA 02703. Any donations will go towards a scholarship for an Attleboro High School Senior.
