CUMBERLAND

Claire M. Garon, 67, of Cumberland passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 20, 2025.  She was the wife of the late Deputy Chief Steven A. Garon.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Elsie (Armfield) Chadwick. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.

Mrs. Garon was employed as Registered Nurse, working in the Labor and Delivery Departments of Woman and Infant's Hospital and Landmark Medical Center.

She enjoyed traveling and her yearly trips to Florida.  She also enjoyed her pets, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Claire leaves four sons; Kyle A. Garon of Cumberland, Steven A. Garon Jr., of Cumberland, Seth C. Garon and his wife Heather of Woonsocket and Shane J. Garon of Bellingham; her sister, Kathy German of Providence and her brother John Chadwick and his wife Pam of East Providence; her grandchildren, Harrison, Jack, Grant, and Hailey; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Stevie Chadwick.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Claire's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 1 to 4 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A prayer service will be held at 4 PM.  Burial will be private.
