Claire C. Gagnon, 89, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, in the Mount St. Rita Health Center, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Robert D. "Pete the Barber" Gagnon.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Lucien P. Cote and Cecile (Gravel) Remiszewski, and step-daughter of the late Edward Remiszewski. Claire resided in Cumberland for more than 60 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.

Claire also enjoyed quiet moments spent reading, knitting, and sewing, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Above all, she cherished meal time spent with her family, who were the heart of her world and the source of her greatest happiness.

She leaves two children, Linda J. Gagnon of Cumberland and Michael J. Gagnon and his wife Linda M. (Corrado) Gagnon of Franklin, MA. Her four grandchildren and two great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jean Tetreault.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Claire's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM and continuing on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11 AM in St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a local food pantry of your choice.
